Why we are asking
To keep our membership register accurate, the Woolwich Arsenal Residents Association asks every member to periodically reconfirm their membership and the address(es) we hold for them.
We need this information to comply with our duties under UK data protection law — the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 — and our own association rules:
- The accuracy principle requires us to keep your personal data up to date.
- The lawfulness, fairness and transparency principle requires us to tell you why we hold your information and to record your consent.
- Our association rules require an accurate register of members so that voting at general meetings is fair and AGM notices reach the right people.
What we are asking you to confirm
- That you accept membership of the Woolwich Arsenal Residents Association.
- That the address(es) we currently hold for you in the Royal Arsenal are correct.
- Any other residential address you would like us to record alongside (for example, an additional address you also live at).
What we will do with this information
- Your address is used only for the WARA membership register duties and to send you association communications.
- It is never used for marketing.
- You can review, correct, or delete this information at any time from your member portal, or by emailing it@wara.london.
